Using the Country field in default profile.

When setting Country > View > Appear in Mini Registration to Yes, the Country field appears on the community dashboard page (when not logged in/guest). You need to choose a country before clicking the "Register my account today" button, and when clicked you get transfered directly to the Finished registration page (with a message about missing email).
Hi,

I've replied you in full at http://stackideas.com/forums/regions,-country,-state-and-address

Hello Torgrim,

Sorry but not really understand your issue here. Is your issue related to the workflow of the mini registrations or the "with a message about missing email"?

If you are referring to the "Finished registration page", it's actually the correct behaviour because this is the behaviour of mini registrations.

If you are referring to the "with a message about missing email", may I know the exact error message / message?

Hi Mark,

I have now set Profile Types > Registered Users > Custom Fields > Country > View > Appear in Mini Registration to Yes.

Go to: http://www.bryggeriet.com/en/community.html

And try the "Register your account today" button on the right.

1. The country field is there ... on the front page!?
2. You need to select Country before you click "Register today..." button.
3. When selecting country and clicking "Register todeay..." button, you get straight to the finish page, with a "No email entered..." message, and account created. User and admin get email about new user, but no activation code done and no users are there (error messages).

Please go to http://www.bryggeriet.com/en/community.html and you will see all these bugs.

Hello Torgrim,

Hm, you actually need to enable the Joomla Email, Username and Fullname for the mini registration.

Ok, I have now set the Appear in Mini Registration to No, since I do not want to have the Country field on the Dashboard frontpage (I do not want to have the Country field no other page than the registration page...).

Can you please go to http://www.bryggeriet.com/en/community.html

And try the "Register your account today" button on the right.

The Address field is not working? It finds my location in the drop-down list, but there is no way to select it? Testet in Chrome and Firefox (latest versions).

How do you "enable the Joomla Email, Username and Fullname for the mini registration."?

I did Backend: Settings > Registration.
Mini Registration:
Mode = Full
Profile = Registered Users

No settings for Joomla Email, Username and Fullname here?

It all started with me wanting to have Country and State as customer fields for registrering... No idea how I get that State field inside there. State fields can not be inserted via Custom field tab (non-existing in my install).

Is it not very standard to have Country and State in registration pages??? Why is this so hard in EasySocial?
