When new user tries to log in via EasySocial, the following error occurs: Could not instantiate mail function.

Firstly I contacted my host. They said I need to choose php mail function. And there might be restrictions if "-f" option is used.

I thought this is like joomla/server problem, but then I tried to register new user via regular joomla login - and it was successful, no error and admin got email successfully. So maybe there is something that you can help with that?
Hello Dalia,

For some reasons if we use the "Recipient Name", it seems to be generating errors on your mail server. I have removed the recipient name and it works fine now Can you give this a try again?

Thank you, it solved the problem! Could you please tell which file was edited. As I understand I need it to save it as not to have this problem again after updating extension.

Thank you. But there is one more thing. When I choose registration type: "require user activation", then the user gets email, but when he tries to activate account - there is error "Sorry, the token provided cannot be found". Is it something to do with joomla user settings? Should System - Log plugin enabled or disabled? Thank you very much in advance!

Hello Dalia,

For some reasons your phpmailer isn't sending me any e-mails now Can you check with the host if there's an issue with the mail?

Hello Patrik,

The one and only reason that this particular message is displayed on the site is when the mail server (The one that you configured in Joomla's Global Configuration) cannot contact the recipient e-mail address.

Normally to debug such issues, I would perform the following checks first:

1. Check if your using a proper email settings in Joomla Global Configuration. If unsure, check with your hosting provider.

2. Is the recipient's e-mail address valid?
