It seems that is a bug for display conversation message, can you try download my attached file and replace into JomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easydiscuss\includes\conversation\message.php and see how it goes?

Hm, we already removed this `divider` image from the email content in latest version 4.0.6 , may i know what is your current Easydiscuss version?

By the way, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can better have a look?

Fixed after upgrade to 4.0.6. I had the version 4.0.5 instead.

Also, I've fixed the new lines (instead of one line) in the emails.
Edit: /home/fldr/public_html/components/com_easydiscuss/themes/wireframe/emails/email.conversation.reply.html.php

Find:

<?php echo $content; ?>

Replace with:

<?php echo nl2br($content); ?>
