Hello Kelley,
I am sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. I am sorry but I am not too sure if I am getting you correctly but do you mean you want to have the comments to appear in the bottom of the entry on the front page http://screencast.com/t/JUIhgvS7azhr ? I am really sorry but unfortunately that is not do-able at this point of time
The comments form will only appear when one clicks on the "comment" link or "read more" link which actually links to the full page view.
