Hi guys,
on a mobile device only it is possible to use a phone camera to add a photo.

1) How do we get that option on desktop with a webcam?

2) If you take two photos with your camera they both appear as uploaded but once you hit submit only the second photo you take appears and it appears twice. https://firereload.com/community (See the Adam1 post at the top of the timeline, the comment with two photos showing is near the bottom)

Can you tell me how to fix both these issues?
Hey there,

Currently, it is impossible to do this for comment at this point of time.

2) If you take two photos with your camera they both appear as uploaded but once you hit submit only the second photo you take appears and it appears twice. https://firereload.com/community (See the Adam1 post at the top of the timeline, the comment with two photos showing is near the bottom)

I just tested this on my phone and the 2 photos which taken by my camera that I uploaded are showing correctly for both after submitted as shown in the screenshot. https://take.ms/1YOeL

Am I missing anything?

Thanks Irwin, I just ran a few more tests.
I created a new post: https://firereload.com/community
Toward the bottom of the top post, one of the comments you'll see two photos with tomatoes. Those were taken with a different phone from mine (both iphones different models of phone) from a different location than mine, and the same thing happened again. Both photos are the same but two different photos were uploaded. Both were from the Take a Photo option.

I can't find anything on this issue. Do you know how to fix this? That is three different iphones in three different locations that are all having the same issue.

2) But now I am also having another issue too:
Unable to parse server response

I read all the forum posts on this and nothing posted fixes this. It starts to upload after taking a photo then after awhile I get the pink error box: Unable to parse server response
I timed it twice, once happened at 24 seconds, but that was after many continual tests. After refreshing in my browser I it tried to upload for over 170 seconds, sometime after that I got an error. It seems unrelated to how many bars of reception I have. Got it at 2 bars and at full strength.

Settings:
max_execution_time 1500
max_input_time 1500
memory_limit 1G
post_max_size 1G
upload_max_filesize 1G
open_basedir is unlimited
Users / Profile Types / Registered Users / ACL / Maximum file size 50mg
My phone takes photos that are about 3mb.

Attached is the access log from the server. The error log didn't have anything recorded.
Also attached is the cache file from /public_html/media/com_easysocial/cache

Thanks for any help.

It looks like we can easier replicate this issue on iPhone device even tested in local.

I will log this into our issue tracker.

After a very long testing, here's what we noticed.

When we upload photos for the comment on the desktop, the photo is uploaded usual fast and no problem.

But when is on mobile device, we noticed that sometime the photo is uploaded slow, sometime normal fast and sometime very slow.

And, the error that you mentioned seldom can be replicated.

Is there any error_log file that you can provided to us so that we might have a clue where goes wrong?

Perhaps you can update your Cpanel access and point us which file location so we can keep check the error log during testing?

Thanks Irwin,
I attached the error log. Because the site is still in development there was little use that day and I requested our testers not do any work after my tests so I think the errors from my work we'll be easy to see.

My IP is 47.32.187.139 so it will be easy to see in the log.

Please let me know what you think and thank you so much for your help.

I can't get access to live error logs at this time.

Hey there,

Based on error log, I noticed that you have ModSecurity enabled.

To isolate the issue, is it possible for you to disable the Mod Security temporary and try again as we just want to see is it this caused by ModSecurity?

Hi guys,
thanks for your help with this.
Tried again with modsecurity turned off, posted one comment with 4 take photos, then did a new comment with one take photo and 7 from photo library. Got error again. The error appeared when I added the last three photos of that batch of 7.

Got any other ideas?

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

May I know what is the path to your error log on your FTP?

Because we want to try again and see if there is an error being logged into it during troubleshooting this issue on the spot.

Also, I am not able to replicate it this time, I suspect only happen on the certain device because I am testing on Android device currently.

May I know is your mod_security still been disabled currently?

Hi Irwin,
thank you for your help with this.We can't get live/ftp access to the error log unless we upgrade our hosting plan so we are going to skip this problem for now. As our site usage grows we'll revisit this issue.
Thank you very much!
