Users are getting emails of comments on articles and they did not subscribe or even comment on the article. Changing the settings you provide do nothing to remedy this.

I will let you take a look into why this is doing this. I cannot have 144,000 people getting emails about comments they did not post on.
Hello Nick,

Sorry for late reply to this,
I have tried to access in your backend, but i getting this :
Warning
Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.

Please advise.

Also, can i have the permission to do a test post and comment in your site?

I set the settings to somethings I found on other users posts. This is what I want though.

I want all users who subscribe to receive emails on replies and comments.

I want all users in a certain group to receive all comments period. I have admins who need to know when comments have been made.

I moved your link to hidden menu. We have too many active users and we cannot deal with them talking about that link, it is accessible the same way.

Hello Nick,

I have tested in your site, it seems like work fine for me.
what i tested just now is I'm using this user "nnarbxxx" create a article post ( http://www.rotaryswing.com/test ), then i create an account and comment this article when i set Notify Content Author - YES , check my screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/WDYt5mbWHZ
The email notification only send to this article owner, check my screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/SUTjDYnk6 (mailq)

If you would like one user group receive any new comment email notification, you should select which user group you want them to receive the email notification set from new comment section, check my screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/VVpmnnpgE

Hope this help.

the problem is people are subscribing to one comment on one article and are getting emails for all comments on all articles. I have at minimum 20 people complaining right now.

Hello Nick,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
I have checked in your site again based on your explanation in previous reply, i have help you disable the Auto subscribe option from your Komento backend setting, check my screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/XwWNvTgQuEN
Let's test on new article and comment and see how it goes? Because if you test on old comment, all your user auto subscribe when comment on the article before.
Hope this time will help.
