Hi,

I am using Wireframe as my default theme, but need to use a 2 column layout for 2 other categories. I basically want to use the Nickel theme for these as that allows for 2 columns?

In my category I can only see the option to create a custom theme, but I cannot see where I select existing themes. In my menu link to the category there is a Theme tab, but all it has is the option to set the number of columns for Nickel.

I am assuming it is only Nickel that allows more than one column?

Any advice would be most appreciated.

Kind regards

Mel
Hey Mel,

Yes, that is correct as only "nickel" supports more than 1 column layout. To create a different category layout, you need to copy the nickel theme folder into /templates/JOOMLA_TEMPLATE/html/com_easyblog/themes/

Hi Mark,

thank you - that was nice and easy

I have a slight problem. I have 2 columns, but the articles are hanging over my site footer area. How do I correct this? Is it a settings issue?

You can see it by visiting the link in the url bit on my first post.

Hi Ezrul,
my mistake, I used an underscore instead of a dash. It should be correct now.

Hey Mel,

I've tried to connect with your FTP server but hitting following error :

//Backend
Username/password is not working.

// FTP
Response: 530 Login authentication failed
Error: Critical error
Error: Could not connect to server

Can you try download my attached file and replace into JoomlaFoldercomponents\com_easyblog\themes\nickel\blogs\categories\item.js and see how it goes?

Also you have to temporary turn on development mode for your site Easyblog.

Hi Arlex,

thank you, that did the trick!

Can I ask here, or shall I create a new post? Is it possible to have different cover size image for one category? I basically just want my cover image to fit the width of the columns in this one category.

Kind regards

Mel

You're welcome

Yes, it would be best if you can create a new post thread regarding with your other question.

Is it possible to have different cover size image for one category? I basically just want my cover image to fit the width of the columns in this one category.

Unfortunately that was not possible to achieve this. We only available one place to control the post cover size from backend > Easyblog > setting > layout > post cover , hope this help.
