Dear Support,

We managed to translate EasyBlog and EasySocial just there is a small number of language strings that we could not find.

Please note that a high number of the language strings were in the file located into the root/administrator/language, so we had to translate them from there. I have the impression that if we update the EasyBlog extension for example, the administrator language file is replaced so we have to upload the old ".ini" file that is the translated one, in order to translate those language strings of the front end.

Despite the above, the only missing language strings are the ones presented in the photos. These are the only terms in english that we could not translate. Please help and thank you for your time.

Regards,
Hi Phivos,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply.

Regard for you missing language strings at photo 76 may i know where to find it,at you site it don't appear ?

photo 77 & 78 you have to override this string at extensions-> languages-> overrides. You just change the string i make for you to any language, see screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/a77CXq7ANq . and for 'blog' you have to translate it at language file el-GR.com_easysocial.ini, see screenshot:http://screencast.com/t/7yEiEOTZ
the reason don't translate because it was from joomla smart search.

Photo 79 i check it from editing point and you need to change it to capital letter for both language file. You can check it at user points, see screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/utTgPmuIhUU and http://screencast.com/t/XgBRhfc6. You have to translation at language override see screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/IHvRkKBCkX

Photo 80 you copy this string COM_EASYBLOG_BLOCKS_IMAGE_BROWSE_VIA_URL language string and put it at language override.

Photo 81 this is from plugin editor and we can't do any override language for this button poll.

Dear Jasni,

Thank you for the prompt response. You can consider photos 77 to 81 as resolved.

To recreate the issue in photo 76, you can log in and then go to the home page. You will see the easysocial dropdown module to the right of the main menu.

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. In photo 76 , these are your Joomla menu items There is no way to translate it. You need to edit your menu item and change the menu title accordingly.

Dear Mark,

Thanks for the valuable input.

We updated EasyBlog and EasySocial so we had to replace the en-GB .ini files located in the administrator and in the front end language files in order to have the strings related to these files translated, because many strings are still attached to the English language files.

So after the update, the "Via URL" (photo 80) string that has been corrected as per the instructions above through the language override, it does not function and we cannot understand the reason. The language override is still there and we cannot trace the string in the language files.

In addition, we traced another minor issue. Please see photo 150. From where can we translate these small "th", "nd" e.t.c. strings that appear on the date format. We cannot trace them in the language files.

Regards,

Hey Phivos,

These are actually date strings from PHP.

You can refer to the format here, http://php.net/manual/en/function.date.php .
