Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

I have following issue:
each blog category link doesn't work (404 page not found)

I have last version of Joomla/EasyBlog
Local installation : it means I cannot provide you any access to the website

Can you help me?

Hm, that was very hard for us to know what is the issue causing this by looking on your screenshot. It would be best if you can upload your local site to live temporary so that we can directly access and troubleshoot on this.

I have also seen that also the Author profile link doesn't work
the wrong links point to index.php/component/easyblog/blogger/pcvueblog?Itemid=126

By the way, I've take a look of your screenshot, can you try follow my instruction and see is it help?
If no, I would strongly recommended you temporary upload your local site to live.

1. Can you check what is this item id 126 from backend > Menus ?
2. Double check this from backend > Easyblog > setting > seo > advanced tab > set to `default`
3. If you do not want to show your Easyblog frontpage menu item on your menu bar, you have to create a hidden menu > add new menu item for `Easyblog frontpage layout`

Hi
Below my answers:

1. Can you check what is this item id 126 from backend > Menus ?
The 126 appears only as homepage ID (you can see it the enclosed file) and not 126 for Joomla articles, blog port or category.
Also if I click on any blog title link, I see the 126 is always added at the end :
index.php/component/easyblog/entry/the-business-louvre-selects-pcvue-for-its-bms?Itemid=126

For the AUTHOR PROFILE link it is: /index.php/component/easyblog/blogger/pcvueblog?Itemid=126
For a CATEGORY LINK it is: index.php/component/easyblog/news?Itemid=126

2. Double check this from backend > Easyblog > setting > seo > advanced tab > set to `default`
Yes it is set as default (I didn't change anythink there) - see the enclosed file

3. If you do not want to show your Easyblog frontpage menu item on your menu bar, you have to create a hidden menu > add new menu item for `Easyblog frontpage layout`
I don't understand this point, the links I'm talking about appear in a blog post or EasyBLog module and I want they work not hide

I cannot publish the website, what can I do is to send the website to you by Wetransfer (for example)

Hi Giulia Magnesa,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply. We really cannot help much as we do not really sure the exact caused by this issue as we do not have a better view . Can you temporarily enable debug system(Global configuration>System) and turn on error reporting to maximum (Global configuration>Server) and by using default joomla template and see what exact error that you hitting on the page?

Hi
if it can help you, I have seen each category link is wrong

The correct one is /index.php/component/easyblog/categories/news?Itemid=126

instead of index.php/component/easyblog/news?Itemid=126

it is missing the word "categories" in the link

Also the strange link is for the blogger author, it seems the correct one is:
index.php/component/easyblog/blogger/invalid-blogger?Itemid=126

Yes, it seems like you misunderstand what my point here.
I've checked in your screenshot which provided at above, can you enable back `Easyblog frontpage layout` menu item from your backend menu page? (You can refer on my attached screenshot below)

Hi
If I enable Easyblog frontpage layout, all the links work fine.
Why?
Do I have to enable it? ... and If I don't want it in the menu?

Thanks for getting back to us that worked

The reason why need this menu item is because this `Easyblog frontpage layout` need to tell Joomla router to use this main menu to build the SEF link on the Easyblog URL.

if you do not want to show this menu on your page, you have to follow my instruction to create hidden menu from your backend :

1. Go to backend > menus > create a new menu called `hidden menu`
2. After you created, then go to this `hidden menu` menu page
3. Click Add `New` button > select `Easyblog frontpage layout` menu type > and set menu title and alias > click save

That it.

Hi Giulia Magnesa,

You can truncate the blog content by:
1. Click EasyBlog>Settings>Layout>Truncation
Please give it a try

You're welcome.

You can configure this from backend > Easyblog > settings > layout > pagination > Frontpage Items Per Page
