EasyDiscuss has a Search textbox. This works on the Stackideas website. I cannot get this to work on my website. I have all relevant plugins enabled and I have indexed using Smart Search. Is there a setting to turn on the Search for EasyDiscuss?

Rene
Hello Rene,

I've fixed it for you in this file: ../components/com_easydiscuss/themes/simplistic/searchbar.php. Please give it another try.

Hi Nik,

Can you answer a question? Does Search only work for a category? For instance, the word "Introductory" is in one post in the Announcements category. If I select this category and the enter the word "introductory" in the search text field, I will get one result. However, If I select any other category I get "Sorry, no result found for the keyword introductory."

Is this correct?

Hello Rene,

The search function is based on the category you have selected. But If you want to search in all category, you can choose Select Category so it will search throughout all category: http://screen.stackideas.com/2014-12-18_1252.png

Okay. Thanks a lot Nik. I suppose I will have to place a help message on the page to let people know about this behaviour.
