I am not able to upgrade to the latest version of EasyBlog. The installation shuts down at 10%. The error message asks me to enter the correct API key - & I tried regenerating it a couple of times in my account but it still doesn't work. I see in other forum discussion posts that are users are upgrading to 5.0.29, 5.0.30, or later versions. For some reason the automatic installer is trying to upgrade to only 5.0.19.
Thanks for your help.
Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Actually that Easyblog 3.9 updater is not working anymore, you have to follow this instruction in this documentation here : http://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/upgrades/upgrade-easyblog-3-9-to-easyblog-5

By the way, I've tried to update Easyblog 5 in your site, then I noticed your server didn't install `PHP GD Library` so can't pass through the installation, can you request with your webhosting provider to help you install this `PHP GD Library` in your server? Because this is important because all upload image in your site is depend on this PHP function.

Keep us update once your webhosting provider help you installed `PHP GD Library` in your server.

Since you logged into our site it is no longer loading on the front-end. Please undo whatever you did ASAP.

You logged into our site yesterday & broke it, then left without notifying us - this is completely unacceptable. We can still log into our backend but nothing is displaying on the front end. We tried disabling EasyBlog but the site remains broken. What other files did you modify? What can we do to fix this?

I understand that you would like to work regular hours but when you break a website you should not go offline until you have fixed it. My server administrator no longer trusts me & I am in trouble for giving you access to the backend of our site. This is really not ok.

We reverted back to a snapshot of EasyBlog from early October & our site is working again. But we lost content in doing so. We are in the process of setting up a clone site to work out the bugs with upgrading to the latest version of EasyBlog. Hopefully it will not break our site again.

hey Meagan,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply and I didn't noticed you can't access frontend then caused you this much trouble.

Sure, once your webhosting provider already help you installed `PHP GD Library` in your server, I can perform an update to Easyblog 5 in your site, but I need your Joomla backend and FTP access.

Looking forward of your response.

We have created the clone but I can't see how to make this reply private so that I can give you the login credentials, so I will start another forum post.

PHP GD Library has been installed on our site & on our clone.
