I started my blog as a draft and clicked "Save for Later". When I returned to complete the editing, it wasn't in the drafts but it was in Posts. To ensure that it wasn't posted before I completed editing (this has happened before), I set the publishing date for Friday.

Before it's published, I would like to see the preview. When I select Preview Post, I get a page with a "400" error. What's the problem?

Also, why isn't the entry in the Pending area?
Hi Debra,

I've have try to replicate you issue and have make test post at you site it seem work fine, the test post is save as draft and not in post section you mention.

to preview post you have to login first at front end site this because preview post it upload by reading user ID. I have enable login icon at you site, for this setting you can check at settings -> layout -> toolbar -> toolbar (front end) -> show login -> yes.

Hope this help.

It drives me nuts when this happens. I haven't been able to save a file to "draft", ever (5 posts?). Now it's working.

Related question: what is the difference between "Apply" and "Save for Later". I assumed that "Save for Later" saved the post to draft or pending. But last night, when I was working on my latest entry, "Save for Later" stuck the entry into Post. That said, what's the difference?

Interesting, I'm surprised you got the post to preview because I had the login disabled. But enabled the preview, stuck it in a valid module position and saw the preview (what a mess!). I have a lot of cleaning up to do. So I have to turn the login on and off to see the preview? That's the only way? If so, so be it. It's rather a drag.

I have another issue but I think I should submit it as a separate post as it's probably a problem that others have had - inconsistent font presentations.

Thank you so much for your help!
Onward!

Hey Debra,

Yes, that is correct. "Save for later" will save the post as a draft whilst apply is to save the blog post

I assure you that "Save for Later" doesn't always save the post as a draft. Until yesterday, my consistent experience was that it would save it as a post and, if I hadn't set the publish date out a couple days, it would publish it. It was VERY, VERY frustrating because then the draft version would go out to my subscribers.

Mark, this version of EasyBlog is much buggier than previous versions I've used. In fact, I have a client that I won't be upgrading for the foreseeable future because the current version would drive them nuts.

Anyway, until the "Save for Later" misbehaves again, I think we're good. I appreciate your information and support!!
Have a great weekend,
Debra

Hey Debra,

Hm, are you on 5.0.32? Are you saying that if you hit the "Save for later" button, the blog post is being published as well? I need a way to reproduce this issue. Does this happen all the time?

i just upgraded to 5.0.32 this week. Maybe this was a bug in the prior version? I think I was on 5.0.30 before this week. Anyway, yes, it happened all the time. I'll keep testing it and let you know if it happens again. I ran another test of the draft->"Save for Later" yesterday and it worked as it should. So maybe the upgrade did the trick?

Another bug I've had problems with is the font sizes appearing as specified but I need to find a system to the problem. It's been too random to report, but very frustrating.

I'll create a new post if the "Save for Later" becomes a problem again. I think we're good for now.

Have a pleasant weekend!
