What can i do ?
Loïc
Hi loic ,

Sorry for late reply to this,

I've checked in your directory file from your JoomlaFolder/images , it seems like there do not have any Easyblog image folder exist.

May i know your existing Easyblog 3.9 blog post is migrated from another domain site to your current live site(http://www.yourCurrentsite.com/joom3/)?

If yes, you have to manually move those Easyblog image folder over to your current site JoomlaFolder/images folder.

If no, can you elaborate more detail about the process how do you upgrade Easyblog 3.9 to 5.0 ?

Looking forward of your response.

Hi loic,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

When i enabled error reporting to maximum, I getting this error :
<b>Fatal error</b>:  Call to a member function update() on a non-object in <b>/home/randotre/www/onnapas/joom3/libraries/cms/editor/editor.php</b> on line <b>380</b><br />

So to fix this, go to your backend > Easyblog > setting > general > composer > Composer Editor - Easyblog composer , by the way, I already help you did it, it work fine now.

Hello,
thank you arlex. Still have some problems :

1/ joomla editor is still used in composer :
http://awesomescreenshot.com/01c51h5s45

2/ no access to images
all posts, my medias... are empty even if i have lots of old posts (EB 3.9)...

same for "this posts" even if there is photos in the post

and all posts only show one post :

Hi Ioic,

I am sorry for the late reply.

May I know, are you editing existing blogpost? If so, I believe it is a correct behavior of the composer not to be displayed and the default Joomla editor will be used instead.

I am sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Please advised.

hello,
yes i am editing existing blogpost...
the composer not to be displayed and the default Joomla editor will be used instead

is that means the composer can't be used with existing blogpost !
same for the old images... not usable in EB5 ???

Maybe i am misunderstanding (i am sorry if it's the case...) but that means
EB5 is not compatible with EB 3.9 posts ?

is a migrator will be developed to assume the compatibility with previous posts ? same for the images problem ?

Please help

Hello loic,

If your post is created in EasyBlog 3.9, it will need to render the WYSIWYG editor because the format of the blog post is not on the new EasyBlog 5 format. There is no way for us to convert your existing post into the new format (unfortunately).

In EasyBlog 5, the data that is stored when you compose your post contains very rich data (json strings) which isn't viewable in the composer. These rich metadata allows us to present the blog post on the front end nicely

Hello loic,

It's not just the "images" but it's the content itself. In conventional WYSIWYG editor, the contents are different compared to the new composer format

Hello

Yes i understand for the content. What i am talking about is the media manager :

no access to images
all posts, my medias... are empty even if i have lots of old posts (EB 3.9)...
http://awesomescreenshot.com/06d51i69e5

same for "this posts" even if there is photos in the post
http://awesomescreenshot.com/06d51i69e5

and all posts only show one post :
http://awesomescreenshot.com/00e51i3tba

Is something can be done for the images in media manager ??

Hm, even if you are using the WYSIWYG editor, the images should still be available to the user. You need to click on the "My Media" when you click on the media manager to find back your existing images.

The "This Post" folder is a new functionality that we added in EasyBlog 5 to allow site owners to be able to manage images in proper article folders.
