Can "Post Type" determine if Q&A is enabled?

I use two different types:
- Sharing Information
- Ask a Question

If the user chooses to post a "Sharing Information" then there should be no option to mark a reply as an answer.
If the user chooses to post a "Ask a Question" then Q&A functions should be enabled.

Is this possible??? Or must Q&A be enabled for the WHOLE FORUM?

(I am new to Easy Discuss so if there is a better way to set this up let me know)

I am sorry but the "Q&A" option needs to be enabled throughout the forum. It's not possible to have separate settings currently.

@support, do you plan to add this feature at some point? I'm using EasyDiscuss to implement a member forum on a non-profit site and it would be very useful to be able to disable Q&A for certain post types. I think I'll have to disable the "Post Type" drop down for now to avoid confusion until such a feature is available.

Currently we do not have any plan to implement this feature in the future release of easydiscuss. Perhaps you can voice up your idea in our easydiscuss voice page so that other user can vote for it, http://stackideas.com/voices/easydiscuss .
