Hello,

I've set up EasyBlog on my site which allows users to post via the website or via email.

Ideally, I'd like to set up another instance of EasyBlog for different content. For this, users would email a different mailbox and all content would be kept separate from the existing blog.

Is this possible, in principle? If so, how would I go about setting this up in the backend?

Thanks!
Hello Darren,

If you mean by remote publishing, unfortunately it is not possible to do so with the current system. However it will be possible with the easyblog 5

Hello Rachel,

Unfortunately it is not possible to create second instance of easyblog on the same joomla page as it actually sharing the file and database across the site.

Hi,

As an alternative would it be possible for users to send an email with a different tag in the email subject line which would cause the blog to be published in a different category?

e.g A subject of "Userblogs: User blogging articles" would generate a blog post called "User blogging articles" in one category.

Whilst a a subject of "Adminblogs: Admin blogging" would generate a blog post called "Admin blogging" in an entirely different category

I'd find that a useful feature as it would give users a way to use email from mobile devices to target their blogs to the catagory they want to.

If you could provide this feature for up to 10 categories I would expect that you would meet the needs of most users.

Regards,

Darren
