Hi

I want to ask how to change the default url for the bloggers profile page.
Lets say I have a url with all bloggers ... http://www.mysite.com/authors ... then the blogger url is ... http://www.mysite.com/authors/blogger/username.
I want to change in to http://www.mysite.com/authors/blogger/real-name
I think providing the user name is not good for site security, if everyone can see your login name.

Its something similar possible?
Hey Antonio,

Unfortunately right now it's not possible to use a "name" for the author's permalink and it is entirely due to SEF purposes as it would be difficult parse the permalink unless an "id" is prefixed to the permalink. In other words, the url would look something like, site.com/authors/blogger/12-real-name

"id" is prefixed to the permalink is fine for my case, much better than username as in my case email is usename for my bloggers.

Hey there,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

Can you try download my attached file and replace into this file location and see how it goes?

JoomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easyblog\tables\profile.php

And make sure you have enable this setting `Unicode Aliases` from backend, you can refer on my attached screenshot below.

NOTE : Please backup that `profile.php` original file before you replace my attached file.

Is this now in the new versions? If so, what is the setting to show real name instead of username?

Yes, you can configure from your backend > Easyblog > setting > layout > general > Name Display Format

Thank you, but I was referring to the URL. It's auto makes it the username.

I am sorry for the confusing in earlier, unfortunately we do not have an option to allow admin to set which name format can be use, but the user can set their user permalink from their Easyblog edit user profile page (screenshot : http://take.ms/6YrKH )

I've checked on your site, it seems like you have installed Easysocial right? If yes, I would suggest you to enable Easyblog avatar integration to Easysocial from backend setting, you can refer on my attached screenshot below.

Hope this will help.
