Hello,

I'm seeing a behaviour which I do not understand:

In Pic-1, you see the entry "Stille Tage ..." which links to a single article written with EasyBlog 5.
In Pic-2, you see the BLOG structure, with the same entry as in Pic-1

So far so good -

By pressing "Weiterlesen" (Read More), the article is displayed in the same way than in Pic-1, and not within the BLOG Structure. By disabling the menu-entry "Stille Tage.." (Pic-1), the article is display as I would expect - (Pic 3)

For me it is a big issue, since I like to publish articles within the blog. Additionally, the article should be available a permanent entry somewhere else on the page. It should be the same, otherwise the comments will be lost.

How can I solve this?
Best regards
Wolfgang
Hi Wolfgang,

May I know have you created a frontpage menu item for your blog menu item structure? If yes you can try to look at your SEO settings from your backend > easyblog > settings > seo > advanced > set your routing behavior to default, http://screencast.com/t/7KRTY5SlYGW7 . You can also set the settings to follow your frontpage menu item id so that easyblog will always use that menu item id as the base of your easyblog url structure.

Hope these help.

Hi Erzul,

thanks for your reply. I'm not sure, if I understand your qoestion correctly:

I've created the menu with the common Joomla commands: menu--> main-->new entry -- selecting type "Easyblog single Article". The routing behavior is set to default .

I've played around with different advanced SEO settings but the situation stays the same: I can no view the same full article with two different main-menu settings.

When the article is shown as a preview (like in pic 2) - where can I configure the maximum length?

Best regards,
Wolfgang

BTW: Why have the "use current active menu item id' been removed in EasyBlog 5?

Hey Wolfgang,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Based on my understand on your previous described your site menu structure, I suspect you didn't create this menu type `Easyblog (Post) frontpage` menu in your site right?

Perhaps you can provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this?

When the article is shown as a preview (like in pic 2) - where can I configure the maximum length?

You can set the truncation from your backend > Easyblog > settings > layout > truncation > (left truncation settings is for when the post created using Easyblog Built-in composer) and (right truncation settings is for when the post created using Joomla default editor e.g. Tiny-mce, JCE , etc)

BTW: Why have the "use current active menu item id' been removed in EasyBlog 5?

Because previously got a lot of customer complain this routing option causing a lot of duplicate URL in their site, so we decided remove this option in Easyblog 5.
