Blog posting permission from stream

Hi

I am sure this is just a setting but I can't find it anywhere!

I have a user type who is not allowed to make blog posts. From EB they cannot post, there is no create post icon/option. But from the stream they do have the create blog option. It actually won't let them post, and an error appears but doesn't say anything. Where can I turn of the blog posting option from the stream by user type? And where can I set the error messages?

Hello Michelle Nunan,

Look like this is a bug in EasyBlog blog app. I've fixed this issue internally and the fix will be added in next release of EasyBlog. For the quick fix, can you download the attached 'blog.php' and copy the file to '/media/com_easysocial/apps/user/blog/' and overwrite the existing blog.php. Remember to backup the original file before you overwrite with this updated version.

Just noticed that the update doesn't honour any minimum character/word count settings in EB. I have it set to 300 and from EB it won't let me post if under that but from the ES stream it does.

No big deal for me but just a heads up!

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as we might have missed your post earlier (I was also away for business trip for both weekends). Not really sure if I understand you here. Would you mind elaborating more on this please?
