I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
It seems like Facebook can't access your site at all, so copy your blog post URL and paste it to https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug then click debug button and post again.

Also, you will need to perhaps check if your site is blocking any IPs or perhaps the security settings is blocking Facebook. Hope this helps.

I am having the same problem. I just installed the current version of EasyBlog last week on a current Joomla 3.x install. When the stories are shared on facebook by either copying the URL or using the share link there is no option to choose the article image for the thumbnail. It just shows as either a blank thumbnail (image attached of easyblog post after sharing) or the wrong site image (not from the article).

I have run the link through the facebook debugger and it still does not work. I will also submit a support ticket, but wanted to share this incase anyone else has this problem.

The problem is it does not allow my to show the image from the article I wrote in the actual Easyblog article I am linking too. Those are just some default images on the server.

I too am looking for a step-by-step on at a minimum choosing the image associated with all FB shares, such as maybe the site logo. Since I have a number of extensions posting to FB, I need to ensure the EasyBlog one remains distinct from the others. Thank you!

My blog posts that I share on Facebook are without the blog post image and introduction. It only shows the site name.
It doesn't matter which way I post... via add this or via the share link. They both don't work.

What to do?

It seems like Facebook unable to crawl your blog content because of this error, check my screenshot below.

Can you try disable your GZIP compression from your Joomla backend > system > global configuration > server and see is it help or not?

If no, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this?

You're welcome, actually that was the solution for this.

What you need to do is clear the Facebook cache.

What my meaning "Facebook cache"? Copy your blog post URL and paste in Facebook debugger tool -> https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/

Can you give it try again? It should work fine now.

By the way, I noticed your Admin ID is not match with your current Facebook admin ID. Check my first screenshot below.

Try put your current Facebook account ID in this particular field there.

You can get the Facebook account id from this similar URL -> https://graph.facebook.com/YourUserName
