Blog subscribers are not receiving any emails about our blogs. How do we fix this?
Hey there,

Your description is pretty vague and it doesn't contain much information for me to assist you here. This is what you should check:

1. Check if they are in your spam folders.
2. Check in the email activities and see if those emails are in the activity but are pending. (You will need to setup cronjob to process them)
3. Check if your email settings in your Joomla Global Configuration is correct.

At first they were getting 3 then none at all, does this explain anything?

Check the email activities and see if these items are marked as sent or are they still pending? If they are already marked as sent, then it's most likely issue #1 and #2.

Looks like you are using EasyBlog 3.x. In 3.x, if the post is not public, no emails would be sent. Ensure that the blog post's privacy is set to public

I was referring to the privacy and not the publishing state of the blog post. It should be public.

1. Your settings currently only have the option "Notify blogger subscribers for new posts". In other words, it only notifies users who subscribed to the author. However, checking the site there are no subscribers for authors. This is why nothing is being sent out.

2. I have enabled the option " Notify site's subscribers on new entries" and it is sending out notifications now.

Hello Mark,

Thank you!. Also if it is possible when you are testing and creating blog post to make sure it doesnt post out to the social media through autoposting that would be great.

Ok So now the updates are going out twice? Is there a reason for this or a setting change?

I think it is only going out once. You are probably getting separate emails? One as an admin and another as a subscriber?

Hello Mark,

I am only registered as a subscriber and only on some post i am receiving duplicate notification. It is not every post which is why im a bit concerned... Is there anything that can affect the notification emails? How does it work exactly If a post is unpublished and published again would that affect things?

Please let me know so i know what the variables are.

Hello

This happens to a few blogs every few days. I have 3 blogs scheduled to post Monday Wednesday and Friday. You are lucky because todays blog send a double notification.
Here is the title

Here is also a screenshot of the double email. http://prntscr.com/a5aug4

Hey Chris,

It seems like in your settings of EasyBlog the option "Send emails on page load" is enabled. These are often the cause of duplicate notifications. I have turned this off and you should rely on the cronjob to process notifications
