I have added the biography to easyblog. It is integrated with easysocial. It seemed to be working fine but had a member just point out that no links are being respected. (members add links to their blog sites or twitter) It just strips out the html.

No <br> or <p> or links etc.

We use JCE editor on the site but the default composer in Easyblog.

thanks for any ideas on how to fix this,

Bridgette
Hi Bridgette,
I tested this locally in the frontend and it seems the <br> is generated automatically when we press enter to head into the next line. Other than that, <p> and link tags seems to be fine.

Perhaps you can provide me a sample html content along with the html tags that you are experiencing the issue. Then, I can try to apply this content locally and show you the result?
Let me know, thanks.

Well, the users just type in and hit return.

If the bio was respecting our system editor choice (JCE) they would be able to add links via the toolbar in JCE. But it does not. It's just plain text.

I don't think they are entering full html because they expect that when they type a link to their twitter (for example) it will display properly.

Does that make sense?

I am adding two screenshots. The first is what she typed into her blogger bio area. The second is what it actually looks like when saved. Ugly!

Thanks,

Bridgette

Making a reply because when I try to edit the message and add files, it won't let me. Ugh!

Hey Bridgette,
My apologies. I get what you mean now.
Can you download the 2 fix files below and replace it into their respective directories below and see how it goes?

Ah - that did the trick. It added the wysiwyg editor to the blog bio area. Thank you!
