Best way to create a home page ?

Hi,
we are looking to create a new home page, we was wondering : we should use a blank article for this page or use the featured article feature (none) ? we want to create a blank page where we can add modules.

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

I felt both suggestion also good as you mentioned at above. If you set single Joomla article page as default homepage, you can assign some of the module display on this article content, but you have to ensure that you have enable this plugin `content - load modules`.
