Hello Glencoe Glen,

Sorry for late reply to this,
Thanks for your suggestion, but we do not have plan to add BBcode Editor in the future.

Hello Peter,

Unfortunately we don't have plans to support "bbcode editor" as a blog editor and to be honest, I don't think it is extensive enough to be used to write a blog post. You are missing a lot of formatting, etc.

I understand, it was meant as an addition not a replacement to the editor, some of the really cool things in BB was 'spoliers' and placing code directly into the article, etc. very good for technical blogs., its a feature that is lacking for sure, it limits the blogs. I now started using easyblog and find it very limiting on how it handles pictures 'Albums to be exact' and writing technical articles.

I have also purchased easy social, which not sure i like, but it handles albums well, my hope was that once in installed both the be some cross over but seems not.

Hello Peter Atkin,

Thanks for getting back to us,
I now started using easyblog and find it very limiting on how it handles pictures 'Albums to be exact' and writing technical articles.

Regarding with your question, actually the Easyblog albums is handle by Easyblog media manager, you can upload the picture through in media manager and insert the picture in your blog post.
By the way, can you provide us some example as you mentioned that "writing technical articles"?

Hello Arlex, thanks for the response

Easyblog album, I can't seem to get working, as least not in the visual sense that easy social does, can upload pictures insert single pictures easily etc, but albums are an issue.

I want to use the blog to disseminating technical information, clearly in a blog like manor but with the ability to let the viewer decide if information need to be shown or not, otherwise the blog becomes to unwieldy see:
http://cfts.co.ug/our-blog/latest.html, BB boards have had many years of dealing with this no harm to learn from them.

As to some of the functionality that I find helpful see:
http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/topic/115020-domain-logon-script/
and
http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/topic/23860-smtp-mailer-that-supports-html-and-attachments/page-31?hl=%2Bdomain#entry1198939

I Hope this helps, I'm also new to Joomla on this side (blogging) and relise that a learning curve is not unexpected, that been said I do technical blogging for the most part, and certain functions are a must or the blog becomes unreadable.

I was previously using Kunena forum with a couple of album plugin that was perfect for me, my staff like the facebook style blogging, but also find that traditional blogs for the most part are unsuitable for technical blogging.

Hope this makes sense, and thankyou for your support.
