Autopost adds code to Facebook and Twitter text block (see attachments). Since the problem is exactly the same with Twitter and Facebook, the problem is with EasyBlog?

Hi Mark,

I am sorry for the confusion. Look like you did submit the twitter url but somehow it was hidden in the input form ;(

Anyway, regarding your issue with twitter autoposting not showing the image in twitter summary preview, it was caused by two issues.

1. First issue was caused by EasyBlog not picking up the image correctly. I've fixed this and applied the fix on your site and now in your blog post, the twitter:image tag is showing the correct image URL. For your information, the twitter autoposting require the Twitter card to be enabled from your site so that twitter crawler can get the image path from twitter:image tag.

2. Twitter crawler was not able to 'crawl' the image link due to your server robots.txt prevent any robots crawler to access images folder. I've modified your Joomla site robots.txt and commended out the line 19 so that twitter crawler can crawl your image link. Please see screencast.com/t/qeloXS8Ynq

Now, in your twitter, the image is showing correctly. Please see http://screencast.com/t/m2xeKOfcJL

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Hello Mark,

Regarding your issue, by right when EasyBlog autopost to Facebook / Twitter, EasyBlog will strips all the html tags and send plain text only together with one image ( either cover image or one image from the blog centent). I've checked your EasyBlog and look like you are not using the latest version. Can you upgrade your EasyBlot to latest version of 5.0.24 and try again the autoposting to facebook and see if this issue persist? If issue persist after the upgrade, then can you pass me your FTP account so that I can investigate your issue further?

Please advise.

Hope this help and have a nice day!

We will have to do this early tomorrow evening (Los Angeles time). My client is in Detroit, and the Facebook authorizing msg on her phone will wake her up. I'll let her know what's going on and give you the logins tomorrow.

Hello Mark,

I am sorry for the confusion. Regarding your issue, I've added a fix on your EasyBlog and now the autopost to facebook and twitter no longer send the html tags. Please see http://screencast.com/t/ubYq1PhU

Below is the file I've modified.

JOOMLA/administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/oauth/adapters/twitter/client.php
JOOMLA/administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/oauth/adapters/facebook/client.php

The same fix will be added into next release of EasyBlog as well

Please verify again.

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Thank you! The auto posting code problem appears to be solved. Leave it to me to find a bug, hahaha. However, the picture still does not auto post to Twitter when you view the summary. Any ideas why?

Hello Mark,

You are welcome. Regarding the image not posted to twitter, Can i have your twitter page url so that I can see the post that autoposted by EasyBlog? This is for debugging purposes so that when i testing the twitter issue, I can see how the autoposting being submit to twitter.

Thanks.
