It seems like that automated email content is coming from our forums when you submit a new discussion thread on our forums right?

If yes, unfortunately that was not possible to achieve this in current Easyblog.

No it had my name above it I just cut it out of the crop so no one could see it and then I looked somewhere and disabled the reply email to admin so now the user blogs direct without me having to approve the blog can you tell me where the place is to change the setting back please so I can test it?

Do you mean you do not want your site user directly publish the post in your site right? All the blog post must get approve before publish it.

If yes, you have to configure from backend > Easyblog > ACL > select your user group > publish post - NO
