Hi
I'm working on a new website/blog and it will be possible to view it on two languages.
Is it possible to automatically translate the blog post to the other language just like the content on the website?

Best regards,
Camilla.
Hi Camilla,

Basically it is not possible to automatically translate the blog post currently. However we do have a feature called Blog Post Association for Multilingual ability where you need to create a blog post in each language in order to achieve this.

For example you need to create one blog post for English language and another one for Danish language by choosing the following options here inside the composer, http://screencast.com/t/8pDpothf6t . If you have set the blog post to "English", it will then prompted you to select a blog post that you want to associate from French language, http://screencast.com/t/abI3pFif . If everything is set correctly, you will be able to view the translation of the blog when you view the blog post in different language.

Hope these help.

Thank you

Ok, is it a feature that you will add in the future?
Or will it be possible to add translation plugins from other developers?

How about the categories? Is it possible yet to have it in different languages?

If I look at a post in danish - how can I turn it into english? How does the layout looks like?

Best regards,
Camilla.

Hi Camila,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply. Please find my answers from your inquiries below.

Currently we do not have any plan to add this in the future yet and I believe currently there are no translation plugins that can integrate well with easyblog.

You can either create a language switcher module inside your blog page and switch the language from there. If you have set everything correctly based on my explanation in my previous reply above the blog should get translated automatically when you switch the language.

Hey Camilla,

I believe they have written a plugin on their own to support EasyBlog. You will need to contact them and check with them as the plugin wasn't developed by us.

Hey Camilla,

Did you enable the "Language filter" plugin in Joomla? Also, are you running on Joomla 3.x?
