Auto Assign a Group to a Profile

So auto-assigning a group to a profile type works if the user chooses their profile type when registering but if the administrator changes a users profile type in the back-end the assigned group for the new profile type doesn't seem take..thoughts on how to do this automatically?

Unfortunately there's no work around for this currently because if performance issues If you have a profile type that has more than 5000 users, it's going to be almost close to impossible to insert all these records at once

Any manual way to do it? Because right now the only way you can get a user to be assigned to a group after manually switching their profile is to try to be their friend, hope they accept then invite them to that group and then hope they join..
