I am currently using easyblog and easysocial. I have set easysocial for handling the user profiles and login in the Easyblog admin and I have set permissions to everyone for viewing user profiles in easysocial for all profile types. If I am not logged in I am not able to access an author or users easysocial profile through Easyblog. If I click on the authors name it will direct me to the log in page. Am I missing an additional permission setting or something else with either plugin?

Also since I have linked the two accounts if I am an author when I create a post will that display on my activity stream as well?

Thanks
Matt
Hello Matt,

Can you provide us your backend and FTP access so we can have a better look on your issue here? As for the stream item, if you have enabled this option: http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-01-27_1015.png , it will post to your stream as well.

If I enter my site details below are they hidden from public view? And does only your support team have access to that information since you do not use any sort of ssl on your site?

Thanks
Matt

Hello Matt,

I've checked your admin, seems like this menu item is not public: http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-01-27_1559.png . This is why Guest user can't view the profile menu item.

Ok that is my mistake I did not realize the profile menu item was setting global permissions for all profiles and not just your personal profile. To fix this and still have the same functionality I created a second menu item in a hidden menu with public permission set for profile and then the main menu set to registered. Do you think this will cause any issue it seems to be working fine for now ?

Thanks
Matt

From the read of it, I can say it should be fine.

Hello,

Are you still looking into the second issue? When an author publishes a blog post it is still not showing up on their activity stream or when you view their profile page through Easysocial. I believe that I have all the appropriate fields turned on through the admin to connect Easyblog and Easysocial.

Thanks
Matt

Hello Matt,

I'm sorry. I missed the second issue. Can you provide your admin access so we can check the setting and test it in your site?

Hello Matt,

I've checked your site and seems like the stream about new blog post is added here: http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-01-30_1550.png . Did I missed anything?
