Hi there,

We've noticed that all of the author links (text and picture) on the latest and entry view pages show up with hrefs of "javascript:void(0);". I see the hrefs when I hover my mouse over the author names/links and nothing happens if I click on them. My easyblog version is 5.0.26.

Does anyone have any idea as to what's going on? Any ideas on what I should be checking or looking at?
Hi Sue,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

By the way, in the future you can just include your site's access once at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site rather than needing to keep adding them in your replies. It is fully secured and nobody will see those credentials except you and our support team.

Hi there,

I'd rather not resort to that course of action just yet. Can you point me in the right direction about which file/piece of code I should be investigating/debug? I can report back what I find and we can start from there. Currently having trouble figuring out which exact file your code is running from.

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

That avatar and the author permalink file located at :
JoomlaFolder\components\com_easyblog\themes\wireframe\blogs\latest\default.main.php (listing page)
JoomlaFolder\components\com_easyblog\themes\wireframe\blogs\entry\default.php (entry page)

By the way, what my suggestion is update your Easyblog version to latest, it might be fixed in latest version.

Or some of the plugin causing the issue, try temporary disable all of your 3rd party plugins.

And also make sure do not have any cache system enable.

Hi there,

No worries. Thanks for the help. That was indeed where the code was running. I found out that not only was the link to the author page not showing up, the author page just flat out did not load. (resulted in a 404)

Anyways, I updated easyblog to the latest version 5.0.36 and the author links now work. You were right, it was fixed in the latest version.

Thanks!

One related question. Is there a way to be notified that there is an update to easyblog?

Hi there,

Unfortunately, currently we don't have any notification to notify any user about our new update. But, you can see at your backend's dashboard whether you are using old or new version on our components as shown http://prntscr.com/bunift.

Hi there,

Can you create a new thread and included all your backend and FTP access credentials for us further check on this issues? And can you use English as we i do not understand your requirement if you posted them on your language.

Thanks for your understanding.

Hi Julissa,

It is better for you to create a new thread instead as currently, we are on others users thread and if you shared those credentials, they might see them.

By the way, you can just include your site's access once at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site as those sections only can be access/viewed by us(Stackideas staff) only.

Thanks for your understanding.
