We're using EasyDiscuss as a support forum. Can an issue be assigned for follow up to a specific support person?
hello Bill Leal,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
Yes, that was possible to do that. First may i know what is your mean that "specific support person" ? Is it called moderator?
If yes, you have to set which moderator can moderate in which categories, check my explanation on my screenshot below.
Hope this help.

Actually, my question was a bit different. Suppose we have Tom, Dick and Harry doing support. A moderator might decide that Tom would be best for one post, Dick for another, etc. So the moderator could assign a specific person responsibility for a given post.

Is that possible?

Hi Bill,

Maybe I can help here.
From what I understand that you want, it is possible.
In the 2nd screenshot of Arlex it shows you how to assign a post to a specific moderator (either Tom or Harry for example).
From that moment that specific post shows up in the "assigned posts" of that person.
Obviously those persons Tom / Harry do need to have the moderator rights which can be assigned to them as shown in the first screenshot of Arlex.

If you don't want that all moderators / staff have the same rights, you can consider setting up different ACL settings per group. You can do this in the ACL menu in the backend.

Hope this helps.
