Wondering if we could have an optional parameter on the 'Ask a Question' module to pre-select an existing EasyDiscuss category.... and an optional text override for what the button says....

This would allow different instances of the module to be placed in different parts of a site... for example on my site it would be... "Ask a Sports Question" on the sports pages, and "Ask a Health Question" on the Health pages.....
Hello Andy,

Thanks for clarifying this. I will add this in the feature request for review.

Thanks!

Hello Andy,

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you. This is possible with the Ask module in EasyDiscuss. You can get it here http://www.stackideas.com/downloads What you need to do is place it in the menu item with EasyDiscuss Single Category Layout, and it will automatically be routed to the Ask page with the category preselected Hope this helps.

Thanks!

Hi Adelene - Thanks but why this is a feature request is because I want the module to be on the non-EasyDiscuss pages around my site to help pull people into asking a question in a specific question... So it's a parameter that, if used, lets you select the category to ask a question in, and also a parameter where you can override the text on the button (so on one page I want it to say "Ask a Sports Question" and on another I want it to say "Ask a Health Question") - I don't think either of those features are currently possible....

Thanks.
