Thanks for the access. May I know, all the Easydiscuss posts, did you migrate it all from kunena? Because some of them are able to download the attachment.

Yeah i migrated from kunena, and I don't understand where every thing as gone r why nothing happends on the example above

I've tested to migrate from Kunena to Easydiscuss in my local by installing Kunena, make a new post with attachment and I was able to migrate and see/download the attachment. Can you try to remigrate the kunena post in your test site and see how it goes?

No sadly i can't, we gone throu a massive migration sorting all posts and going from a 7 level category to a single categroy. so its now kind of a big prob

I'm sorry but the best solution I can think right now is to re add the attachment for your post. I can see from your easydiscuss attachment table, looks like you have 100 attachments and at least 20 attachments is not working. I can't replicate your issue when migrating in my local and this conclude that the code is working properly.

Ok all i can think off at the moment is that the .pdf .docx is not supported and i can't seem to find where the setting for that is.

because even if the attachement has been migrated i can't see it as i think it can't figure out how to open it, i get a blank page.

That was my first thought then I tried to upload .pdf and .docs before migrate in my local. Once migrated I can access/download the files without any problem. And also I've checked your setting, you have already include .pdf and .docx: http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-02-26_1203.png

In the Database none of the Mime are active. is that not a problem, i see image/jpeg but for the rest of it i don't see any thing. this is getting urgent at the moment

I do notice that there is no mime. But when I checked other entry that doesn't have the mime, most of it still can access/download the file. If this is very urgent, I can re-attach those attachments for you. You can re-provide us your FTP and also your phpmyadmin access so I can re-add the missing attachments based on the correct post.

Ok well i jsut updated the db and added all the mimes, but i still can't see any attachements, thats wiered that you can still see some, what ones are working for you?

I think I have found the issue. While I was trying to get the attachments from your FTP in ../medis/kunena/attachments, I can't find the user id for this post http://technet-21.org/en/component/kunena/vaccine-management-policies-and-practices/8672-systematic-remote-temperature-monitoring-are-we-ready#12359 . If you open this Kunena post, you can't download the attachment which in my opinion the attachments are missing.

ha i posted in the wrong forum post.. Ok good find, but i don't think that is the only problem, as i can't see any attachements let alone those ones, they attachements are there, but when i click on a pdf to view it nothing happends or at least it loads and its a blank page that appears$

Hello Alex,

You get the blank page is because the file did not exist when you migrate it before. The idea is like this, your kunena forum posts i stated in the previous reply are missing the attachments at the first place. Then when you try to migrate them to Easydiscuss, those attachments will not be migrated because they are not exist in your FTP. Easydiscuss will get the path of the attachment from kunena which is here: ../media/kunena/attachments/.

Nah, there is actually only 2 that are working on the site, but they were submitted on Easydiscuss this week that's why they work. All other 100 or so attachements do not work. ok i'm gonna have to see if if i can do the migration again and see

I can confirm that not only 2 posts that the attachment working because I've tried to download other post and it is working. And I believe it is more than 2 and it is the post that are migrated from Kunena.

can you show me witch ones you have able to download will help alot as my self and client can find any that work

What I can conclude from these tests is that, the attachments are not missing in EasyDiscuss. They are missing from Kunena because if the files are available in Kunena, it works on EasyDiscuss too based on the test above.

There's 2 way to go about this:

1. Fix Kunena posts, and re-migrate everything again (As I read from the reply above, you mentioned that this would not be possible)

2. Edit EasyDiscuss posts and re-upload those files again. (Tedious but this is the other only alternative).
