Hey chris,

when I trying to authenticate with your Facebook user account in Easyblog, now i hitting this :

1062 Duplicate entry '28' for key 'PRIMARY' SQL=INSERT INTO `jos_easyblog_oauth` (`id`,`user_id`,`type`,`auto`,`request_token`,`access_token`,`message`,`created`,`private`,`params`,`system`) VALUES ('28','842','facebook','0','','','','0000-00-00 00:00:00','0','','1')

can you access your PHPMYADMIN > find this table `jos_easyblog_oauth` > delete '28' id
Then try sign in via Facebook again and see how it goes.

If still can't, can you provide us with your PHPMYADMIN access as well?

Hey there,

This error is most likely caused by mod_security on your webserver's layer. This is what happened:

1. When you click on the sign on with facebook button, a new record is added to the database
2. EasyBlog then redirects to Facebook to request for user's permissions
3. Facebook redirects the request to your site (Here, your site is already preventing this altogether)
4. Hence, you get the db error when you try to sign in again.

The only way to fix this is for you to contact your web host to disable mod_security

Hello,

We have updated EasyBlog to version 5.0.21 and when we try to sign in with Facebook we receive the following error:

The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Please advise.

Thank you,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as we are currently having a Joomla conference here in Malaysia and most of the team are involved in the preparation.

May i know do you have contact with your web host to disable mod_security temporary and see how it goes?

Hey Chris,

I am sorry that delay of this reply,

Can you provide us with your Cpanel access?

Because when I sign in via Facebook , it will show this ` 1062 Duplicate entry '31'` warning pop up is because this user id already stored in `jos_easyblog_oauth`, so it detected this is duplicate id. So this thread will end up keep asking for delete this data from database every time i testing.

by the way, did you disabled mod_security from your server yet?

Hello,

When we tried to sign in with Facebook we received the following error:

1062 Duplicate entry '33' for key 'PRIMARY' SQL=INSERT INTO `jos_easyblog_oauth` (`id`,`user_id`,`type`,`auto`,`request_token`,`access_token`,`message`,`created`,`private`,`params`,`system`) VALUES ('33','838','facebook','0','','','','0000-00-00 00:00:00','0','','1')

We removed the duplicate entry from the jos_easyblog_oauth table. Then when we tried to sign in with Facebook we received the following error:

No data received

ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

Please advise.

Thank you,
Michael Casta

Hello,

The mod_security feature was not fully disabled since the server needs it on. Can you please let us know which mod_security rule you will need to have disabled?

Thank you,

hey chris,

I am really sorry that delay of this reply,

Based on my research in Google, it seems like you are not alone hitting this issue due with who installed mod_security in their server.

You can take a look of this 2 reference link :
- https://forums.sonic.net/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1125

It seems like the mod_security blocking the Facebook authentication requests.

Perhaps you can consult with your webhosting provider is it got another user encounter this issue before?

Hello,

It seems as if when i am logged into my personal facebook account. and then i try to sign in through easyblog, i do not receive the No data received error message. This leads me to believe it has something to do with the facebook account that needs to be used. So i am unsure if this is an issue with Easyblog settings or with Facebook.

Is it possible for you to do further testing to assure that its nothing on your side?
Thanks

Hey Chris,

Scott is also hitting the same errors here, http://stackideas.com/forums/auto-post-facebook-the-connection-was-reset-while-sign-in-with-facebook-account-first-and-grant-the-application-access but he managed to address the "No data received error". I am still waiting for his response.

I have read that thread. I have followed his instructions to ,go into WHM at Home »Security Center »ModSecurity™ Tools » Rules List, from there click the Edit Custom Rules button. Removed and re-added the line for the "10_asl_rules.conf" as i need to test.

This has not worked i am still receiving the same error.

Hello,

We removed the line ourselves and we did not contact our webhosting provider. We have posted the access needed to WHM for the server that hosts globaltsllc.com. After logging in to the WHM navigate to Security Center->ModSecurity Tools. Then click the Rules List button. The click the Edit Rules button. This will bring you to the page to edit the ModSecurity. If you make any changes please note everything you do while in the WHM.

Thank you,
Michael Casta

hey chris,

I also tried that method suggested from our customer but it doesn't help.

Just I received another our customer already resolved this when they consult with their webhosting provider.
reference link : http://stackideas.com/forums/i-get-a-1062-error-when-setting-up-auto-posting-to-facebook#reply-221353

Perhaps you have to consider consult with your webhosting provider regarding this because we are not really familiar with the server stuff as this mod_security. Hope you understand.

Hello,

I have reviewed the thread you have provided. This is NOT the same issue.
I also consulted with my server provider they have expressed that this is an problem with the component and not the server.
nothing on the server end has changed and this is affect several of our clients autoposting.

Is it possible for you to check again for a resolution to this issue?
Thanks

Hey Chris,

This thread is going no where as you keep arguing that this is an issue with the extension and unfortunately we can't do anything about it because it is in fact has nothing to do with the extension.

Facebook is generating such parameters in the query string and there is really nothing we can do about this. The only way to show you that this has nothing to do with EasyBlog is for you to access this URL (part of the parameters are being generated by Facebook)
