Admin Posts Not to Show as Unanswered

This is really odd, but it makes sense...

I have posts from the Forum Admin in a category ie "Welcome to the XXX forum". These posts should not be showing as "Unanswered". How can I flag these posts so they are not listed on the Unanswered tab?

I am sorry for the late reply.
I believe this cannot be done in the current system. All new posts/discussions are initially set to unanswered and unresolved. Furthermore, in order for a discussion to be answered, there must be a reply to the discussion.

I see. Well, consider it a feature request then. I don't like the idea of having a know-it-all other admin having to answer an announcement post
