hi, I moved over from another social component and I am very happy with my decision.

One thing I do miss however is the inclusion of the about information in the admin email.

For me as I get a lot of idiots signing up, it is really vital, it enables me to see if the user bothered to fill in the about me section with valid information.

How can I edit what fields the admin email sends out so that it includes at the least the about me field?

This would be a great help.
Hello Trevorl,

I've made some change in the following file:
/components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/emails/html/registration/moderator.approvals.php
/administrator/components/com_easysocial/models/registration.php

However when I'm trying to access your backend, I'm hitting this, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-03-05_1052.png thus I am not be able to test if it's work or not from your side.

Please advise

Hi Mark,

When a new user registers I set it to notify the user and also the admin account (my email) .
It is this email that I need the extra info included in.

Hello Trevorl,

There is no setting to do this but it would be possible with a hack. You can provide your backend and FTP so I can apply the hack.

Hello Trevorl,

May I know what fields do you want to include in the registration mail template?

Hi Mark, in addition to the standard fields I would like to include the about me field.

But I would only want the extra field to be included in the email that goes to the administration account.

Kind regards

Trevor.

Hello Trevor,

I've tried to access your FTP but failed. And also I've got this when trying to access Easysocial in the backend:

You are not authorised to view this resource.

By the way, Can you please replace the attached file in:
../components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/emails/html/registration/moderator.login.php
../administrator/components/com_easysocial/models/registration.php

Please give it a try.

Hello Trevorl,

This will add new information in the email notification which get the content from About Me field. Can you please try? If this doesn't work, you can check your access for backend and FTP and re-provide it for us.

Hello Trevorl,

Thanks for the FTP access. However, when I try to access your Easysocial component from backend, I got this: http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-01-20_1053-1.png . Can you provide us full access to your backend?

Hello Trevorl,

You're welcome. You might want to backup these files when updating Easysocial in the future:
../components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/emails/html/registration/moderator.approvals.php
../administrator/components/com_easysocial/models/registration.php

You are most welcome Trevorl. Do remember to backup the following file before each update:
1) /components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/emails/html/registration/moderator.approvals.php
2) /administrator/components/com_easysocial/models/registration.php

Glad that your issue has been resolved
