Adding the Easyblog media gallery

Hi all,

Is it possible to add the media gallery icon also to easydiscuss? we really do not like the image URL linking. Its dangerous if they link from a mallware infected site and also if the image is removed.. we get blank images. So... instead of having them attach the images... is it possible to add the media gallery to ED?

Hello Cynthia,

I am really sorry but unfortunately this is not possible currently and there's quite a bit of complexity to get them both running alongside one another because the media manager requires a proper WYSIWYG editor for it to work correctly.

Oke. i understand.. but what if you only have the uploading feature and then use the locator option for the URL? Would that be something todo?? I just love your media gallery and its user friendly. So i just would like to use it in the forum also.

It would be the same You can't just "extract" the upload part. We'll see what we can do for future versions of EasyDiscuss.

that would be great What i now do is upload te image in the blog, use the locate button to find URL and place that in the [img] tag in the ED topic. That works...
