One of the major disservices that PayPlans has is that it will only assign Easy Discuss badges. My site is Easy Social centric, and these badges do not show on the Easy Social profile.

I would like to build a badge that when a user activates a payplan, they get a badge. Seems fairly straightforward, but unsure where to start, I thought maybe the StackIdeas team could help a lowly premium member, that has ALL of the components that you sell...
Hey there,

There's 2 things you need to do actually:

1. Create a badge file, http://stackideas.com/docs/easysocial/developers/achievements/rule-file

2. Then, you need to add the logging codes in Payplans accordingly. http://stackideas.com/docs/easysocial/developers/achievements/logging

Sorry to necro this old thread, but I've read those links twice and I have no idea what you're talking about.

I'm looking for the same functions as the OP - that when someone renews their paid subscription (ideally in a provided calender year) they receive a badge to their account.

What am I looking at in those links? I can't tell what's fixed and what should be changed. Could you offer a blow-by-blow instruction example for how to add a badge for, say, a 2016 subscription in payplans please? Would be a massive help!

Hey there,

Hm, instructions which I have posted is for the user to add their own customizations within Payplan. We do not provide the exact codes for such customizations.

You should check this with the guys on Payplans and see if they already have such feature / functionality?

They haven´t.
Just let me add: I am also interested in this feature.

I agree that it´s not your job to do integrations of other extensions. It could be a nice service, but not finally your job.

But ... what you gave us is an automated badge-system with nearly no chance to manage anything in the backend. Something like manually assigning badges to users or deleting them. The process of creating a new badge and assigning or un-assigning a badge to a user is just a pain.

Can we make a deal?
We look for how we get a payplans-integration, and you give us a backend where we can manage the badges.

All the best, Julian!

Hey Julian,

Sure, what sort of deal are we talking about here?

I already told you:

My thought is: AcyBa might be the best company for a good integration of badges.
They have a phantastic filter-system, and I will ask them for a paid customization so I can add "earch badge" oder "remove badge" in theire filter-actions. This way, users can be filtered and badges can be set by a cron based on the filter.

But ... I would expect you to create an usable backend-part for the badges. Creating new badges, uploading images and so on should definitvely be possible in the backend!

All the best, Julian!

Hey Julian,

We'll try to see if we can add this in the future but if you need this immediately, you can always request for a quote at https://crm.stackideas.com and we can discuss about this
