Hey n00bster,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is actually a public day off for us here. It seems like the database server is returning the following errors:

1071 Specified key was too long; max key length is 1000 bytes SQL=ALTER TABLE `moxm_easyblog_ratings` ADD INDEX `idx_uid_type` (`uid`, `type`, `value`)

Can you please contact your web host to lift such restrictions?

That's wired! I had never before such a problem with a restriction of the database. i have looked into this table, there are only 45 entries. and next is i don't really use this feature and i do not see any key with such a length. i'm a bit confused about this ....

Hey n00bster,

Can you request your hosting provider to increase the maximum key length in mysql?

i got the answere from my webhost:

and the translation via google:
please talk to the developers of the component, here is deviated from the standard "Key Length" of 1,000 bytes for MyISAM tables, or the value is exceeded. Possibly adaptations are necessary on their part that these are we can tell the programmer / developer, you probably have to create the table with a larger table-prefix.

now i'am as wise as before

Okay, we have applied some fixes for this internally. Can you test this with the 5.0.29 build when we release it? It'll most likely be sometime next week as we're still fixing a couple of teething issues.

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Can you start a new thread instead and provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so that we can help you check on this?

By the way, I will mark this thread as resolved and lock it to avoid any confusions in the future, but if you need any help please feel free to start a new thread in our forums.
