this feels real familiar... I get to the Points stage in the jomsocial migrator ....from user 12187 is now migrated into EasySocial. Then get this:
Checking for next item to migrate....
JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data
migration process completed.

Tried restarting the migrator but then it just sticks at 1%
Hi Paul,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Regarding your issue, can you pass me your Joomla backend admin user and your ftp account so that I can investigate your issue further?
Please advise.

Sam,
this is on a dev server behind a firewall. I don't want to go production until I know this works. This is a big problem because there are thousands of private messages/conversations not being imported from jomsocial. Can you give me any insights on what I should look for? I had very similar problems with the easydiscuss migrators and ultimately gave up trying after you guys tried repeated fixes that didn't work.

Hi Paul,

I cannot tell you what causing the issue until I actually try it on your dev site. Usually when the ajax request return 'JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data', it seems the php script encountered some error and the process stop. I will actually need to check on your site and see what causing the issue.

If you don't mind, can you pass me your Joomla backend access and your ftp account to your dev site so that i can take a look at your issue?
Please advise.

I realized that my joomla error reporting wasn't set to maximum and after doing so I caught the error. I had to boost the php memory up to 256m (not recommended) to get it to run. It is running now past the 1% I was getting before. It will be a while it looks like.
