problem after upgrading to 1.3.2. It has gone back to the emails received when you send an invitation to a friend doesn't go with Invitation Message and also the name of the sender. can this be fixed for me. i also hope that the link in the email will redirect user to a blank page

can you fix this like you did with version 1.3.1. here is what jason did before http://stackideas.com/forums/1-3-1-problems-with-friends-invitation-emails

Regards
Goodwin
Hi,

For now you will have to manually change the link in the file:

/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/emails/html/friends/invite.php on line 61. Change the value of href to the link you want it to point to.

Just a tip regarding registration, it is true that users generally doesn't want to go through a long process of full registration. What you can do here is in the custom fields configuration page, set all optional pages and fields to not display in registration page by click on the field and under the view tab, set "Appear During Registration" to no. This way, those fields will only appear when a user edits his/her profile, but the full registration page will stay short and simple.

Hi,

Sorry about that. It seems like the changes didn't get included in 1.3.2 release. I've patched this on your site and this will be in 1.3.3.

Hi,

I've fixed the registration issue.

And as for the TechJoomla module issue, I've inspect their codes and it seems like the error actually has no relation to my patch. The error seems like a code issue on their part but I've fixed it anyway.

Hi Jason
I have tested the link and its working well but is it possible for you to point the link to the home page instead of pointing to the full registration form. i want people to use the mini registration form on the homepage first then they can finish up the full form at their convenient time.

regards
Goodwin

Food for thought: i would love to see in your future versions a way that if someone invites a person and that person registers, they should land on the inviter's profile page so that they can get connected instantly. hope this tip can help you guys
