At StackIdeas, we endeavor to develop top quality extensions for Joomla 2.5 and committed to build tools that are easy to use. After months of work, we are now proud to announce an all-new Joomla comments system component, Komento!

Komento allows users to express what's in their head upon articles created in Joomla or even in blog posts. This comments extension is built to work only in Joomla 2.5 and is also capable of integrating with third party components, but more on this later.

Here are some of our favorite features in Komento ...

We make EasyBlog as extensible as possible by way of integrating with many third party Joomla components. This is a great way of sharing available resources across several programs without the need for repeated work i.e. signing up, fill forms, authorization, etc.

EasyBlog allows bloggers to create their own profiles in EasyBlog itself by adding their personal details, contacts and avatars. Or, if they already have an profile somewhere else, like Kunena or Community Builder, the blogger can still use the same avatar to appear in EasyBlog.

Joomla 2.5 is a great content management system for you to build solid websites using its articles. These articles does the job of displaying your content and images and can appear in any form and style. But for creating that blog 'feel', you will need some extensions and plugins to achieve it.

This means you will have to scour the Joomla Extensions Directory for plugins and components to make up for a full-fledged blogging environment. But bear in mind, the more components/plugins installed, the slower your Joomla website loads up and that will turn your visitors off!

Congratulations to the Joomla team for the release of the latest Joomla 2.5 just days ago. Many have anticipated for this release and as excited as you were, we had put in the hours to get all our Joomla components ready and compatible with Joomla 2.5.

The all-new EasyDiscuss 2.0.3689 was already compatible with Joomla 2.5 when it was release weeks ago. If you haven't find out what's new in EasyDiscuss, read more in our blog post http://stackideas.com/blog/entry/easydiscuss-20-released.html

EasyBlog version 3.0.7756 is also Joomla 2.5-ready, too, if you need to start a blog in Joomla.

Of course, our components still support native Joomla versions 1.5, 1.6 and 1.7 and expect to have them around till their respective end-of-life arrives.

Go ahead and get a copy of the latest Joomla 2.5 at http://www.joomla.org/download.html
