Joomla 3.4 and EasySocial 1.3.20 is released

Joomla have released the latest version, Joomla! 3.4 on the 24th of February 2015. According to Joomla!'s official announcement, Joomla! 3.4 introduces new features such as improved front end module editing, decoupling of weblinks, composer integration, Google new reCaptcha and security improvements by implementing UploadShield code which can detect most malicious uploads by examining their filenames and file contents.

There are also some minor GUI improvement on the backend, particularly on how the sidebar looks like. The team were quite amazed at this update and have done some experiment with it during their free time.

Compatibilities With EasyBlog, EasyDiscuss, EasySocial and Komento.

After quite a few hours of testings, we've concluded that Joomla 3.4 is compatible with all of our products and you are safe to update your Joomla. In fact, we highly recommend you to update your Joomla to the latest version as there are security patches applied. Of course, should you believe that the latest Joomla broke our component (which shouldn't be happening, actually), you can always contact our support team via our Official Forum or our CRM and we will assist you accordingly.

Previous Joomla Versions.

I've noticed that we have not stressed this out to our users. As of the 31st of December 2014, Joomla! 2.5 have reached the end of it's support cycle. This means that there won't be any update patches from the Joomla! Dev team, though the Joomla! community might have some patches. The Stack Ideas team highly suggest for you to update your Joomla to the latest version to ensure that your Joomla! is secured.

The setting can be found under backend > EasySocial > Theme.

Browse Users

We've also added 'Browse Users', where you will be given the option to turn on or off this feature. By turning on, users on your site are able to browse the registered users by just a simple click on the mouse. The setting can be found in the theme's setting :

Apart from these new features, EasySocial 1.3.20 includes bug fixes such as country multilist not displayed in profile, and other issues related to privacy and profiles. We suggest for you to upgrade your EasySocial to the latest version to ensure that your site is up-to-date and have all the new features that we are offering. You can either download/renew your license by clicking on the 'Renew EasySocial' button, or you can view the changelog by clicking on the "View Changelog" button.

All thoughts and comments are welcome. :)
