The recently concluded J and Beyond (JAB) conference saw the exchange of name cards, ideas and most importantly, experiences that lasts a lifetime for over 200 people from almost 40 countries. For us, the conference served a significant milestone to the StackIdeas Team because our website won the award in the Corporate Web Sites category in the JOSCAR or Joomla! Open Source Creative and Artistic Recognition Awards night.

“The J!OSCAR Awards are given to the very best talent in the Joomla community and we are proud to recognize Stackideas.com,” said Victor Drover, who oversaw this year’s J!OSCAR awards and is part of the Joomla Events team. “Without their contribution, Joomla wouldn’t be able to grow like it has.”

Some shocking news for us to start the week -- we got shortlisted in the J!OSCARS!

We got nominated for 2 categories in the prestigious Joomla! Open Source Creative and Artistic Recognition (J!OSCAR) in the upcoming J and Beyond event at Bad Neuheim, Germany. The J!OSCAR is like the Oscar awards on all things Joomla!, one of the highlight of this event.

Nominations were made by the Joomla community and was shortlisted by a group of international jury. The announcement got us all in high spirits when we were shortlisted in the following categories:

1. Commercial Joomla Add-ons : EasyBlog
2. Corporate Web Sites : Stackideas.com

We took months to build it and laid it on the table for our users to get a taste of it, and now, Komento is all polished and ready to be served to all Joomla! users. Yes, today is the stable release of Komento v1.0.1558, your preferred comment extension for Joomla! 2.5.

Throughout these years, we have been trying to ensure that our product logo's do not look disintegrated from one another. Well, it did worked out for us for a little while, if you can recall the Origami-ish logo that we made for EasyBlog, EasyDiscuss and SectionEx (Hint: The ones on the front page)

After the release of Komento, we have toyed around with a couple of ideas and decided to update our existing products with a new logo so that they look much more integrated.

After about a month Komento was released, we gathered all feedback from our users and here we have, the second beta version of Komento! Thanks a million for you good folks out there for the help! We had fun.

We also did some tightening of codes based on your experience while testing out Komento. In this beta 2 version, you will also expect some cool new features that will make this comment extension give you more mileage in managing your comments in Joomla 2.5.

After months of endless commits and crazy pushes in our repository, we would like to announce that the beast is now available for beta tests! Yes, that's right! The all-new EasyBlog 3.5 beta, marks our 4th generation of EasyBlog and it is released officially!

Just some heads up for you that in this release we have made over 6000 crazy commits and introduced over 300 new exciting features and improvements.

If you are aware, websites today are virtually 'owned' by the public. User generated content is the norm in today's information distribution and thanks to social networking tools, knowledge is spread across all boundaries, cultures and communities.

As a developer for Joomla components, the StackIdeas Team understands the need of users who make a stand for their own experiences. The release of a brand new Joomla template called Untitled by ThemeXpert supports our EasyBlog and EasyDiscuss in the template itself.

If you noticed, we are currently using helpdesk to manage all email correspondence regarding technical support or pre sale inquiries. We will also be introducing SLA's in time to come to back our world class support.

The new StackIdeas CRM will now be located at https://crm.stackideas.com/ . The move will take place on 2nd of May 2012 (GMT 0). Please remember to update your bookmarks to this new address. The old helpdesk will be redirected to the new CRM after the migration.
