What's Coming in EasyDiscuss?
One of our focus lately is beefing up our Joomla questions and answers component, EasyDiscuss.
We gathered quite a substantial number of feedback from our customers about certain features to be included in the next new release of EasyDiscuss.
The list shows the major features that we believe will soothe the endeavoring souls of developers whom have been alerting us to have them included in the next version and, here we have it.
Core fixes
We make sure all bugs are fixed and codes tweaked so that the next release will be clean and shiny.
File attachments
Yes, files can soon be accompanying a topic to better describe a question at hand. Attaching files will be available when you create a new post.
More participation
Non-registered users will soon be able to contribute to a post without being a member of the Joomla site. Foreigners are still humans and their feedback are in important too.
Categories
Organizing topics by way of categorizing each posts will be made available as well.
Supports ACL
You can configure different levels of access for each of your users, enhancing the way you control users.
Modules galore
We will also add modules like 'most replies', 'most likes', tag cloud and most recent discussion.
Facelift
This new release comes with a new theme and a better layout.

I agree with Mustafa, our project is waiting for you as well, Andrew, the sooner you can get it done, the quicker I will buy the component. I will use this component as my Malaysia SEO Club, this is one of our marketing strategy to boost our Search Engine Ranking on Google for some hot keywords and it matches our website - http://humanwebsite.com.my">http://humanwebsite.com.my" rel="nofollow">http://humanwebsite.com.my">http://humanwebsite.com.my. We need more two way communication to match our site purpose (we are currently have blog and newsletter). Hopefully can get it done asap!

Yep, it will definitely work because we already made an extension for SH404 for EasyDiscuss. Still finalizing some tweaks though.
definitely Jomsocial integration with activity stream, My discussions module, and points system. Please!!!
Yes, for sure We actually have them in our alpha or whatever you call them :P

What sort of Jomsocial integration does this EasyDiscuss have right now, before the new release? I am trying to decide if it makes sense for me to purchase now or wait...

There are activities, userpoints , applications and integrations with the toolbar of jomsocial
I purchased already, but waiting for the new release, looks like full jomsocial integration really, which they have proved working with easyblog so doubts about it working well... now just patiently waiting.
All your products look great, congrats on working in such a neutral theme that will go with most sites, that and the high quality mark up are the reason i am switching to you from a QandA competitor, i found i was never upgrading as i was re writing all the mark up being generated, not to mention deleting inline styles, ugh.
One thing i am hoping for that you have in easyblog is the ACL feature, is this likely to make this release?
