Creating a blog post that’s rich and engaging to the audience isn’t always easy. This can take up some time and effort even for the seasoned blogger. If you want to focus on putting together a good piece and spend less time looking for materials relevant to your post, you may have found the right tool for it.

And, what if you have a virtual assistant who can add some zest into your blog content, in real time?

Read more after the jump.

Zemanta, dubbed as the blogger’s assistant brings together resources relevant for the blog post. In a matter of clicks, Zemanta brings related links, articles, images, tags and more. It offers bloggers the ease of jazzing up a blog post on almost any other topic. Best of all, Zementa avoids all copyrighted material saving you from potential legal trouble.

It works by analyzing the text as you work on your post in real-time. In other words, you have to start typing at least 140 words in order for Zemanta to start working on suggesting related articles or photos to you in EasyBlog.

According to the official Zementa site, you will get access to over 10 million articles and 5 million pictures. On top of that, you get to use links from sites like Wikipedia, Amazon and IMDB just to name a few. Bloggers will appreciate Zementa when it comes to Search Engine Optimization (SEO). You not only get to link to your older posts, Zementa will recommend any original post to other users. This will eventually result in higher traffic to your site!

This is available for use at no cost. Zemanta is available on all major browsers and as server-side plugins including Joomla! To add to the convenience of our users, we have already integrated Zemanta with the latest edition of EasyBlog. All you need to do is get the API from Zemanta and enter the relevant details into EasyBlog's backend and you've got yourself a personal blogging assistant!

So, have you met Miss Zemanta yet?

Hi Keith,

I tried Zemanta during the beta phase of EasyBlog 3 and there were too many problems that contributed to a bad user experience. Has there been any improvements with the Zemanta / EasyBlog integration since then? If so I will give it another try.

Hey Rene,

I can't really recall the issues that you were facing earlier but I believe that the issues that you were having is actually some conflicts between the Joomla template and Zemanta's javascript itself :( This is unfortunately something out of our domain since we don't really have access to these scripts on Zemanta.

This sounds great! I enabled Zemanta, but noticed it only shows in the backend Admin, not when adding a blog post via frontend. Is frontend integration possible?

Hi Richard,

It is already frontend integrated. :D Once you have enabled Zemanta, you should be able to find the Zemanta panel at the bottom after the text editor on the frontend.

If you are still having trouble, our friendly support team will be happy to assist you.

Happy New Year 2012!

It's not there. I only see Tags, Publishing Options, SEO, and Trackbacking. I have EasyBlog integrated with Jomsocial so maybe there's a setting I missed somewhere in that maze! I will contact Support and post the solution here when I find it.

:p Aha! It was there all along, I just didn't recognize it. There's a little icon above the text editor. Click that and Zemanta appears. I found the answer in the forum at this post: http://stackideas.com/support/discussions/zemanta-button-not-appearing-under-post-editor.html

Another issue. I discovered this Zemanta tutorial video on Vimeo (http://vimeo.com/30796492) from October, 2011 that demonstrates some photo gallery features, but Zemanta doesn't work that way inside EasyBlog. What am I missing? Are these features possible through EasyBlog integration?
