EasySocial version 1.3.23 is now available

It's not even a week, and the developers have released another awesome release of EasySocial. I can personally assure you that they are pumped up with their development that they don't even get up for lunch. Moving on to the subject, we have released EasySocial 1.3.23 and here are some of the features that are released along with it:

Auto Group Joining Depending on Profile Type

This is one of the feature that most user has been requesting for EasySocial 1.4 and we have decided to push it up to 1.3 instead because people are eager for this functionality and relying on 3rd party extensions doesn't seem to be worthy. This functionality that is built-in into EasySocial allows automation when a person registers on a site. We have added the option for you to set a profile type to join certain groups automatically. This option can be reached under Profile Types > Groups. Using it is easy, too! Just type in the name of the group and click "Insert Group", save and voila!, it's done. :)

Oh, and this is not limited to only one group; you can actually assign more than one group to one Profile Type. So for the students' case, you can assign the profile tyupe "Science Students" to the group "Biology", "Chemistry" and "Physics" while for "Art Students" you can set them to auto-join the group "Renaissance Arts" and "Modern Arts".

Handling multiple users and groups just got easier with EasySocial. :)

Group Module Enhancements

Another enhancement that we've made on Groups is that we've added the button to 'Join Group' on both Group list's page and Group's Module. These features will ensure a much more rich and easier user-experience on your site.

Password Strengths

b2ap3_thumbnail_password_strength.png Security is something that we look at very seriously. Some sites actually enforces a certain prerequisites for the passwords (compulsory to use uppercase letters, normal letter and one number, etc). Being a team that deals with various users, we understand how important it is for us to have a strict password; which is why we've built this prerequisites setting for your user's password. Check out the options that are available.

Everything, from the amount of uppercase letters to special characters, are available. Set all to '1' makes it compulsory for users on your site to use password that have all combined characters.

Enriched Event's Settings

b2ap3_thumbnail_filter_event_module.png We've added yet another setting in Events; the option to show only the logged in user's Event in the module. By setting it to only the logged-in user's event, the display would be much more cleaner as compare to hogging the unattended events in it.

With this settings, only Events that are linked to the users (attending/created events) will be listed in the module. Modules won't get clustered with other events, which is pretty neat if you ask me.

Other Minor Improvements

We've fixed some bugs, particular those which involves admin's settings and Facebook login redirection. Codes has also been revamped, making the site loads and runs faster and smoother as compare to previous versions. Seeing that the 20% renewal code is still available, we'd highly suggest for you to renew your license, if it's already expired, and get this latest installment on your site. In case you missed it, the coupon code is :

EASYSOCIAL20

Coupon code will end in approximately 3 days time so it's best if you make haste and take advantage of it. Do pen down your comments and suggestions in the comment section below.
