Unbelievable this has no comments yet.
I would like to first off say that this new version is a tremendous breath of fresh air and it seems to have taken a great majority of user feedback into consideration... not to mention.. you guys have officially passed Kunena in desirability. Now when more people start accepting EasyDiscuss as a more acceptable forum platform we can really see templates take yet another steep curve in what developers can showcase.
We have already gone through and played with much of the new features and are thoroughly impressed with all the additions and the added ease. It did admittedly take about 20 minutes of getting used to but wow.. congrats guys.
Stackideas is yet another provider of quality components that is going to help propel Joomla! into bigger and better directions.. and you guys should be insanely proud.
We are currently working on a suitable method to make EasyDiscuss the default login handler for a "concept" site that we will be launching in the near future.. the customizations are already taking shape.. and once more.. Thank You.
Quality products and Support deserves quality members and patron loyalty.
Best Regards,

I have to agree with the first comment. I was tired of using Kunena for forums when it doesn't meet the question/answer type style that almost all forums revolve around now.
EasyDiscuss is visionary in developing this style platform for Joomla. You guys are going to be the go-to developers for this component as people realize it's usefulness.
This is by far one of the most full-featured well developed components I've used.
Thank you very much!0 Like -

I just want to say I got this extension before the recent update and I am still having a blast with it. You guys totally killed it with this one man... That is really all I can say. I hope you guys will continue to keep developing this one and keep it going.. Once my site is live I'm gonna "thanks" to you guys so everyone can see who build my q&a system.. I want to leverage it like quora so the closer you guys can get it to that, the more popular it's gonna be.. Google indexes the q's & a's like mad these days so this is where it's at.. Short, simple, consumable content that people need and Google likes!!! Great job guys... for real.

As always, you guys have a great looking product with excellent functionality. Easily one of the best products available for Joomla. That said, I've already noticed quite a few responsive styling issues on mobile devices (Windows Phone 7 and Windows Phone 8, possibly iPhone/Android but I don't have access to these). I won't run through them all just now as I need more time to play around with it, but one of the more obvious design flaws is on mobile devices at the bottom before the Cancel and Submit buttons, the Tags, Attachments, Password Protection, Polls, URL tabs definitely need to be looked into. They just sit next to and/or above each other haphazardly. If you can find a way to change this into a dropdown or only icons without text, this would be much more ideal. Tremendous product, as always, though. I look forward to messing around with this and it will most likely be my choice for forum replacement when I go live.

Hi Josh, thanks for your trust and we really appreciate your feedback about the mashed up tabs that you mentioned. We found that issue and is working on the fixes now. Can you give it another try in a day or two and tell us here if its all looking good? Thanks much for this!

In reply to: Andrew Rogers PermalinkI would gladly assist in any frontend testing. Let me know when you've updated and I will redownload. I spent some time going through the backend and playing around yesterday, and I just cannot say enough about how thorough you guys are. It's remarkable. The integration options with JomSocial are tremendous. JomSocial 3.0 should be out within a month or so, so please do make sure that integration does not "break" when this happens. I intend to use JomSocial 3.0 and EasyDiscuss 3 side-by-side on my website. Also, rather than having the avatars link to EITHER EasyDiscuss profiles OR JomSocial profiles, could you possibly find a way to give BOTH options? In other words, I want my members to be able to look at both profiles depending on which link they click. I'm not sure of the best way to do this, but I would love to be able to.

Congratulations on this release stackideas!! Although I'm not a easydiscuss subscriber, but im happy that this solution is out there and produced by one of the most trusted joomla solutions provider. I believe your blog post should have included some of the screenshots of how easyblog looks on phone. The blog post is a bit dry

Hi Muhanad, thanks for your love and trust!
Are you meaning to say screenshots of EasyDiscuss? Well, it is already responsive and yes, you are right, we should put up some shots of it for mobile. Let's see what I can do about this.
