EasyDiscuss 2.0 sneak preview
First of all, I would like to wish everyone Happy Thanksgiving! Hope everybody had an awesome dinner last night.
By the way, I am Ajmal, the new hire here at Stackideas as the marketing guy. What can be more exciting for the new guy to start off than to announce the latest updates about one of our products, EasyDiscuss!

Notifications
In EasyDiscuss 2.0, there will be a new feature "Notifications". There will be a notification bar that notifies logged in users about EasyDiscuss activities on the site.
Enhanced toolbar
The toolbar now sports a better look including tooltips for each icon. Fresh and sharper for overall looks.
Badges
'Badges' is a new feature added to help make EasyDiscuss more engaging and fun to use! You can now create a badge for each action (we called them "rules") that available in EasyDiscuss. For instance, you can create a badge (totally customized) for user who answers a discussion thread (then say, a new badge for answering more than 10 discussion threads).
Improved interface
The discussion has some UI improvements to enhance user experience with EasyDiscuss. Replies now has a 'hide' option, 'Like' and 'Resolved' has been revamped and many more.
Profile
User profile has been polished and restructured. Profile now has a tabbed navigation for posted and replied discussions, together with tags that are created.
What do you guys think about the upcoming EasyDiscuss 2.0? Let us know in the comment.

Please work on a tight integration with jomsocial?
Also would be great for users to administer their own notification, topic and category subscriptions (including online notifications, emails and jomsocial notifications).
Would be great to have a module suggest topics that match a users community profile (i.e if I have 'graphic design' as a profile selection the easydiscuss module will suggest I answer a question that contains 'graphic design').
Lastly would be great if we can 'invite' community members (or groups) to answer a question.
Great work guys, looking forward.0 Like -

Hi there,
Thanks for your kind words. We are in the phase of ironing out bugs and making EasyDiscuss stable on its own first, but surely will give our best to include integration with popular extensions like JomSocial.
You can make these feature requests available inside our forum. It's logical for us to push popular requested features on top of our integration list, and by having them list down there will help us monitor these requests from customers.
Thanks again!0 Like -
