Hi Kim, thanks for the words! If you are using EasyDiscuss, how about putting more elaborate words into the Joomla Extensions Directory http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/communication/question-a-answers/16123
Have a nice day!

Thank you, Nick. Yes, forum sounds 'heavy' and that's why EasyDiscuss is here to (hopefully) save the day for our users.

There is a question at StackOverflow, "Joomla EasyDiscuss and UTF-8 alias issue" (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8466319/joomla-easydiscuss-and-utf-8-alias-issue). The questioner says that as of December 2011, EasyDiscuss doesn't support a Unicode (presumably, non-ASCII) alias. Does the 2.0 have full support for Unicode, which is to say, characters from many langauges, in all parts of EasyDiscuss -- including the section and category alias?
I can't find any hint about this in your release announcement or your list of what's new. Perhaps an informed reply on StackOverflow from one of the StackIdeas team would be helpful.1 Like -
The latest version 2.0 already comes with unicode support and I think you have tested it yourself in our Demo page.
All you need to do is activate it in the EasyDiscuss backend: Settings -> General -> SEO and click YES to allow unicode aliases.
Thanks for the input! We will add this feature in the what's new page.0 Like
