EasyBlog and EasySocial updates
Google has been contacting us and we were discussing about how a number of our users were seemingly spammed by unwanted parties. This was caused by a bad chemistry related to the default settings of both Joomla and EasyBlog, and it was explained on our blog post here. However, the aftermath of the issue snowballs up to a point where Google themselves are starting to take notice.
This shows how important it is to ensure that your site are secured and updated to the latest version, as each version will ensure that all the bolts and nuts are tightens.
Which actually brings me to my next topic, we've released two new versions this week.
EasyBlog 5.0.20 is available in your dashboard
After the aforementioned issue, we've sent our code to our forensic team for analysis to ensure that it's top-notch. This is one of the reason as to why we have not developed any major new features for EasyBlog 5 yet. We've concentrate on the quality of the code, bug reports and any under the hood issues to ensure that your EasyBlog site is faster, stable, and secure.
Layout Settings
Apart from the enhancements, we have also introduced several new settings to make life much easier for you. Under the layout settings, you may now find 2 new tabs which allows you to configure the behavior of the listings and category pages in this section. Just in case some of you who are not aware of this, these settings can also be overriden by changing it in your menu parameters for both the "Frontpage Blog Layout" as well as the "Single Category Layout" menu.
SEO Options
You can now configure a custom page title for each of your blog post in the composer. This has been one of the most requested feature by some of our customers and we thought that this is as important as the meta options that are already available for the authors.
EasySocial 1.3.30 sees the days of light
EasySocial 1.3.30 was released few days back, with a lot of fixes on it, ranging from issues related to themes and issues related to the workflow, namely the integration between both EasySocial and EasyBlog. With the latest versions of both EasyBlog and EasySocial, the integration between these two are more smooth and stable, ensuring that the site is fast, stable, and secure.
